My understanding it is a legal requirement with the Simba lot trams crossing a public street. I believe eventually they'll be on all of them (that the lawyers said if some have them they might as well all have them) but I don't pay much attention to such things anymore so I may have it mixed up, I just remembered seeing it passing a couple months ago and searched for the MousePad thread.

Also, Alex has that right about the Simba trams. They have to have doors to cross a city street. |
I saw the tram with doors last night. While I don't care for the idea of dealing with them to get on the tram, they didn't seem to slow things down as far as I could tell. Everyone figured out how to use them okay (the guests have to open the doors, they are not air driven automatics). But frankly, I'm surprised it took them this long to start putting them in.
And Alex, have you thought about wearing gloves of some sort while working there? Or even taking a change of clothes and shoes there to change into and then out of to minimize the odor transfer after getting home? Just a thought. I hate to see you need to watch out for a attack cat in your own home! I hope it works out. It is weird how animals pick up on things. Earthquakes, animals outside and down the street, where someone has been, etc. Good thing we aren't like that! We'd never get away with anything! :D |
RStar, that would be wild! I wonder, really, there must be others before you, Alex, with this problem. A fellow volunteer might help. Speaking of cats, something has ours all a twitter today. High alert.
I hope everyone is enjoying their day. A lot going on out there. Do you think it is because it is our 'kick off' to warm weather? (more or less) |

It's been a while but I heard the reason for the doors is that people in Florida are always falling out (the trams there still travel around the parking lot and people jump out before the tram stops). If they put doors on trams in Florida they have to also put them on trams here. So people get stupid in Florida. Or none of this is true. |
Nine hours and a super-heavy set is a bad combination. I was happy to go home when I was dismissed. But my honey met me at home with a hot coffee-beverage. What a wonderful greeting!

I'm pretty sure today is going to suck.
Just woke up feeling like that... and it seems to be self fulfilling prophecy. Just can't seem to shake it. Bah! Maybe I'm PMSing a bit too I guess. ? Makes me want to move up my vacation time which isn't until memorial day. |
All checked in for Savannah, GA!

Mr. Six, the dancing "old man" character seen on commercials for Six Flags parks, freaks me out.

Mr. Six in person is even freakier.
