Kevy, I'm curious about the bed. I want to bring one, but I need to get one pronto and figure out how to transport it ... along with a Lashpair/Disneyphile-level load of other stuff ... otherwise Gemini Cricket and I will have no place to sleep.

Despite seeing zapppop yesterday, I failed to procure his leaky air mattress ... and since it goes nearly flat by morning, I really don't think it's worth the exta effort to get it at this point.

But if I don't come up with something very quickly, and very comfortably, I'm absolutely seriously not going to be at Swank Camp.

A bed sounds like a perfect idea! How in the world are you doing it???

Gemini Cricket 06-02-2008 09:52 AM

I'm bringing a sleeping bag and a foam pad to put under the sleeping bag.
:)

He built his own disassembleable frame.

Oh fine!

Gemini Cricket, bring a tent.

Hi GD,

Is disassembleable the same as knockdownable - and do you need an allen key?

Stay home.
I'll ride up with Lisa and sleep in another tent, or bring one of my own.
:)

I'm bringing my own tent.
I'm borrowing it from a friend.

Steve,

Colman makes some pretty comfortable camping grade air mattresses and they sell battery air pumps to go with. I got mine at Target (that I bring to NYE) for about $30 (with pump).

Dear IsM,

I'd send you our blowup bed, but I fear it won't get there in time. Could you hire one from a camping shop?

Love and hugs,

The Stoat XXX.

The only tool necessary to assemble it is Kevy.
