Ok I've sucessfully built a loft bed. Whew. Hope it doesn't fall apart.

Ok, the latest update is that they didn't come out because they were awaiting a return call for clearance from the association (which I already secured damnit). However, they should have called.

As compensation, they are knocking $100 off the cost of the unit (and they will be out tomorrow between 10 and noon).

Now Maddy's new room is all done and I can pass out and die.

Taxes done for this year. By far, the earliest that I have completed them (even though we get a refund every year).

I'm trying to figure out why I get a resonable sized refund from Federal (a little over 1% of our income) whereas I get a much larger one from state (about 4% of income). I don't have my deductions set different for state than Federal.

And no, I won't adjust my W-4 - I LIKE getting a refund every year. It's like a little savings account (and that is usually where a lot of the money goes - into savings).

Sooooo..... our new car has been devirginalized. Some #$%^&& lady ran into Eric yesterday and took out the back quarter panel and some of his brain cells. (Bumped his head). Of course, our agent is on vacation, but we are muddling through the paperwork on our own. Big PITA, but at least no one was seriously hurt.
