Hey, whatever timelines each team wants to follow is fine by me - as long as you've got food for 20 when your meal time comes around.
|
Trust me ... it will be Breakfast of the Gods.
|
I've never cooked for so many before, so I'll need help figuring proportions etc when the time comes to start shopping for grub
|
I annually cook breakfast for a crowd and have done enough parties that i'm pretty good as estimation. I can help you. ;)

Soooo, we stopped by my second favorite camping store today to get a dutch oven. (REI is the king of camping, but Grants on Newport Blvd is old home.) We walked out of there with the dutch oven, a new tent lantern, a lantern stand and 2 cool Coleman camp chairs. Check these out! It's got a table!

Actually, NA would be the go-to gal for portioning the whole thing out if you're unsure.

LOL, NA!
When I read "dutch oven" the first words out of my mouth was "Oh, shut the front door!" |

Speaking of which, I have a set of color coordinated* cutting mats, and presumably we have a picnic table at the site, so you probably don't need to worry about a cutting board. (not that you need that for pancakes, but other things we serve, or lunch prep, etc) (*- the colors of the mats are assigned to specific categories of food, to prevent cross-contamination, which will be especially handy where there is a lack of hot water with which to sanitize things) |

As far as the coffee thing... bloody brilliant. If there are enough folks interested, I may consider making a purchase of a certain type of stove-top espresso maker. That plus a saucepan full of milk and we'd be good for lattes and cappuccinos (and I just *happen* to have a Peet's coffee near me!), which would go quite well I think with pancakes and fruit, yes? So, here's the question: who would drink espresso-based beverages? |
