No strep, just allergies from all the dust at work.
I went to CompUSA since they are going out of business. I wanted to see if I Could get a deal on an external drive and the guy who was helping me asked me what I was looking for. So, I said a 120gig external 3.5in drive, usb2 with no external power source. He kept trying to get me to buy a bigger drive that wasn't what i was looking for while insisting it was what I was looking for. I looked at him and said I'm a Network Admin*. I know what I am looking for. thanks. bye. He looked like he didn't know what happened. I hate being treated like I know nothing about electronics. *not one quite yet but close enough to claim the title while electronics shopping and dealing with tech support. |

So, I am just a big goof. As I have posted previously, Susan has been in Florida since Saturday (well, due to flight problems in Texas, since Sunday). Because of my work schedule, and her working some weekends, we really haven't been able to spend much time together. I find myself on the verge of tears that I miss her so much right now.
I am tracking her flight on FlyteComm - which shows actual real-time flight data. I kept hitting refresh so I could see the second she touched down (in Dallas) so that I could text her. Ihad the message all composed and clicked send the second she touched down. She has about a layover in Dallas then on to Ontario (CA - not Canada). She lands at 11:30 tonight. That is painfully far away :( |
:::HUGS::: for Kevy! She'll be home soon!
BTD - so, were the prices generally sucky? I need to buy some CD-Rs and basic stuff... |

Make friends with buy.com. Their office is off the 73 and they have decent customer service, fast shipping and $10 off most stuff if you use Google checkout. I have a ton of CR-RWs, how many do you need? Springer is home. He ate some kitty treats and gave himself a bath. |
I haven't shopped at CompUSA for years. Good riddance crappy store!
I do most of my non-Apple computer shopping at Central Computer. Since they have a SF store, it's the greatest place for last-minute drives, RAM, etc. I'm sure that once we move to LA, I'll buy from them on-line. |

CompUSA sold the stores to a liquidation company with quite a history.
Early in the liquidation process they'll generally raise prices somewhat so that later they can slash them and have decent prices. You can find a bunch of information at The Consumerist (can't look up the URL right now). |
