The last Dodger whose name I'd heard of was Steve Sax, if it's any consolation.

Last Dodger game I went to we booed Manny in the outfield. Rodriguez? Maybe.

The last Dodger game I went to we were yelling MERKIN at the team.

We spent a good part of today on the 405 and it was not fun.

I had to be up at 7 after a very late night, so after the dog walks I went home for a power nap. That got us going down South a bit later than we would have liked, but we were still going to be within the time frame.....or so I thought.

Google Maps showed Green the entire way, so why the F were we at a standstill? It took us an hour to get out of Long Beach and another 1/2 hour to get to the point where we realized we would never make it there and back again and bailed. We finally found the multi-car accident and the muli-lane closure and, since we were almost at South Coast Plaza, we decided to have a meal there.

(Insert brief happy interlude of brunch and shopping.)

Back on the 405 to make it back to LB for a dog walk. More traffic, another multi-car accident, back up to speed, then a police break on the other side of the freeway so another multi-car accident could be moved to the side. At least the return trip was only a little over an hour.

Apparently, today was NOT a day for us to be traveling - or seeing friends and celebrating new abodes. :(

Google Maps traffic screwed us over recently as well. Such a bummer that we can't trust it anymore.

Based on my experience, Google Maps is accurate. For 20-30 minutes ago.

Same for Sigalert.com

Which leaves me to believe it is a Caltrans feed problem

I don't know if it all is, but a lot of Google Maps traffic information is supposed to be real-time generated based on cell phone data.

I just peeked into his and Tori's room, and he was snuggled up next to her and purring- not snoring. He's still nasally, but it's way way better, and he's finally eating some food. Her room is a sauna, with the humidifier going 24/7, but it's made a world of difference. I'll be sure to let you know what the vet says, and I truly appreciate your kind words. :)

Pru- so glad your Boris is doing well! It's such a relief, isn't it? Our Boris is hanging in there as well!

My ex-sister-in-law, with whom I was never close, just sent me a Friend Request on Facebook. I haven't talked to her in more than two years. I know I don't have to accept it. But it is just so weird. Why would she do that?
