I always pick the worst weekends to go to Vegas.

Morrigoon 03-05-2007 10:57 PM

No, we're going in May but it's so freeking expensive :(

If we go for one night it's totally do-able but I wanna go for two (yes. I am whining).

And if I push it back a week the rates go down. I think it will be pushed back a week.

Everything seems expensive these days. To be noted, BTD, the weekend you were probably planning on going is the same weekend as the Kentucky Derby. People who can't make it to the Derby, itself, go to Vegas, and probably the Venetian (they make great mint juleps, that is until they run out of mint leaves) - that's where I was last year. Everything's expensive that weekend.

This year, it looks like I'm going to be at the actual real Derby. I need to find a stylish hat.

Soooo.....

Getting braces tomorrow. I am a bit nervous about it, which is why I've put it off for so long, but it has to be done. (Serious TMJ issues). I get to have clear brackets on the top teeth, but the bottom ones are railroad tracks. I suppose I should be glad I don't have to wear headgear.

In other news, Tori started Monart art lessons today, and she loves them. They are sketching St. Basil's of Moscow, and these kids are really good!

[Nelson voice] Haw Haw ! Tinsel Teeth! [/Nelson]

Seriously, I had them for two years (I think... I kinda blocked that phase of my life out) and you get used to it - I wish we'd had all the excellent flossing brushes, water piks etc. when I was a teen going through it.

You'll love the result though. :snap:
