WB, I had them as an adult because my parents couldn't afford them. I had them when I was 22-27 for 5 years because things move more slowly when you are older and I had a lot of moving to do. It really wasn't all that bad, though. Just follow all the instructions to the letter.

I hope it helps with the TMJ. The trouble you go through now will save a hugh trouble down the road!

Wow, now that is very cool!

If you can't find a swanky and stylish hat on Melrose, I'll eat my hat.

I vote for vintage, I'm sure you'd look great!

Getting braces tomorrow. I am a bit nervous about it, which is why I've put it off for so long, but it has to be done. (Serious TMJ issues). I get to have clear brackets on the top teeth, but the bottom ones are railroad tracks. I suppose I should be glad I don't have to wear headgear.

In other news, Tori started Monart art lessons today, and she loves them. They are sketching St. Basil's of Moscow, and these kids are really good!

Well, if it helps the TMJ.....

That said, the secretary in the cube next to me, she's had no issues at all and is doing fine.

Good for Tori! Is proud Mom going to post some for inquiring/admiring eyes to see?

Everything seems expensive these days. To be noted, BTD, the weekend you were probably planning on going is the same weekend as the Kentucky Derby. People who can't make it to the Derby, itself, go to Vegas, and probably the Venetian (they make great mint juleps, that is until they run out of mint leaves) - that's where I was last year. Everything's expensive that weekend.

Ah ha! That is it. And last month it was the NBA All-Star weekend. Weekend before is MA and the weekend after is Mothers Day. /sigh.

I had them for 5 years as a kid. My teeth were really bad. They're not perfect now but they're way better than they were. I think it's worth it to do. I'm glad I did it... Nelson Muntz taunting and all... :D

5 years here also. Had braces and a neck gear for 2 years, got them off for a few months while the rest of my teeth grew in, then had braces for another 3 years. It sucked, but totally worth it as my teeth were horrible.

Thanks- I'll post some stuff if I can ever figure out how to use our scanner. She's getting pretty good at sketching people, although I wish she'd get away from Manga drawing.

Gemini Cricket 03-06-2007 11:12 AM

Manga! I know what that is now. We have a lot of them at work. I keep calling them Magna. :D
