Heh, guess I focused on the positive. I'm excited for new Tomorrowland, eventually. I much prefer a Grand Opening than a year-long roll-out with endless construction walls. Also happy that a Marvel ride in the Innoventions spot is put on hold. They may as well rename the land if they put yet another fictional-and-not-from-the-future concept in there.

It is a huge bummer if people really are complaining about the throwback. Hopefully it only refines future offerings.

Good points. I'd much rather a grand opening Tomorrowland, too. And yeah, re-think Marvel - though, of course, I'm one who doesn't much cotton to Star Wars being there - and that footprint is only going to increase. But of course, at least it's got an outer space vibe. And I sure wouldn't mind an honest-to-goodness ride instead of those movie-cars that I'm already tired of.

I guess the thing that bummed me was the allusion to spending most of the billion dollar budget on that new Plan-Every-Minute-of-Your-Day-or-Die program that I hope fails miserably.

That, and everything taking forever. I think New New New Tomorrowland will debut in 2036, which is kind of ironic, I guess. I would imagine the regular world will be pretty Tomorrowland by then. ;)

Heck, I thought late 60s Tomorrowland would be today. I'd love to take a Peoplemover to the local monorail station on my way to work.

You can't put "Star Wars" in Tomorrowland. It's a historical drama.

Good point!

Weird, seeing that it has been 20 years onlie for him. I hadn't realized he'd gone straight from AOL to MiceAge.

Pretty cool window they gave him.

Reading that, though, did remind me that I am so happy to no longer care (or have any reason to know) what the name of the Disneyland president is.

They should just rename Tomorrowland to "A Different Fantasy Land" and put whatever they want in there. Hasn't had much of anything to do with a vision of "tomorrow" for a very long time.

Yeah, I kinda thought he padded around some other place for a while.
