I see your point. I'm thinking now of how I felt when they took Walt. If that happened to my group over and over I'd be all insane too. I still think Ana took it a bit too far, but it's forgivable. True about not having Locke (or Kate) with them either.
Early on in season one I had a thought about how little panic we'd seen. The main characters had it pretty together considering, and the background people didn't freak out either. Now it seems they've saved the bad side of this craziness for the other side of the island. We've seen "best case scenario considering the insane circumstances", and now we're going to see worst. |
EH, have you seen the DVD extras? Definitely worth a rental.
|
Exactly.
And my mom owns the DVDs so I'll have to check it out! |
I loved this episode. Nothing really happened, but I enjoyed learning more about Hurley. I loved how horribly insecure he was and seeing his transition and the pain he went through losing the friend.
What really made the episode for me was Bernard. I too, assumed the buff black guy was Rose's husband. The whole episode I'm thinking, "Wow. Rose has a hot younger man." Then when Bernard showed up I smacked myself on the head. When Bernard started crying I cried with him. Then Rose stashing the candy bar for him really got to me. I'm such a sap. I'm angry that they've neglected Rose so much before this episode. For weeks I've been wondering where she was. I've netflixed the first season, so maybe I can actually pay attention to an entire episode and not have so many questions. I wish this was a nine o'clock show. It falls right at Indi's bedtime at eight. |
