I would like to take a moment and apologize for this very squares-ville post. This is what happens when you post after spending 2+hours in a class with a teacher who teaches just like Ben Stein. Buller.... Buller.... Ferris.....Buller....

Too late. It's on your permanent record, BTD.

Day off on 7/18 check. Full party mode on. Check. No more posting after class. Check.

I highly doubt the park will hit capacity on the 17th. I don't think there will be a bigger turn out then the other birthdays. All APs but the PAP are always blocked out on the 17th and the parks have yet to hit capacity. Don't forget some of those AP holders are AP holders for the room discounts and the fact that the AP was a better value then hopper tickets. And how many of those 600k AP holders are PAP holders? And even then how many of those PAP holders have geek gene to come to the park on the 17th? It will be crowded. It is a Sunday in July. But I don't think we'll see crowds that threaten to shut the gates.

Warning, L7 post ahead

I'm still unsure whether or not they'll fill to capacity. I can't tell you how many APs I see in people's wallets on a given day. I work in a public library near the park and I swear, every other person has one. I keep thinking of all those APs and all the people from around the world (esp Florida and Tokyo) that will fly in and all the hotel rooms that are already booked....

I reserve the right to stay in the park. But I also reserve the right to attend iSm's party. :D Yeah, I'm covering all my bases. The idea of being turned away at the gate...:( :( :(

I'm still excited though, for everything, no matter what happens. :)

I totally forgot about that. When I was in retail I started taking APs for credit card ID. I don't think it will fill, I think it will be close. I think the Magic Kingdom may fill (because they are promoting WDW so heavily).

I think a campout in the Esplanade would be fun (not a literal campout but meeting way before opening). Then again I say that 5 months out and the ramifications of having to wake up just aren't processing.

By the way, I'm still counting on them pulling out the stops for an all-night party. That means a start at midnight and staying in the park till 10:00 a.m. or so. After that, who cares if they let you back in? We can probably get a better view of the next night's fireworks from my suite, and we could always head back into the Park after that, once the general exodus starts.

This is going to be sooo cool! I can't wait! I have NO expectations, that way I'll be pleasantly suprised at whatever happens!

Meeting friends for the first time, consuming copious amounts of alcoholic libations, hanging out in Disneyland!! What more is there!!!

How far in advance have they announced them in the past? I hope hope hope they do it, a hard ticket event. Heck, make a commerative ticket and event specific merchandise available and I'd still go (and buy stuff too).

There are so many people, AP holders especially, that will do anything to avoid crowded days at Disneyland. Not every AP holder is a diehard Disneyland fan. Heck, my uncle and his family have had APs for-ev-er, and I'm not even telling them I'm going down there for the birthday....they'd think I was looooooney!!

Baileykat.....I'm so excited you're going to be there with us, too! How cool is that???:snap:
