You guys need to check out the "Heritage of the Sea" room in The House On The Rock.

The what? Where?

The House on the Rock is the most twisted tourist attraction I have ever visited. I loved it so much, that that's where I proposed to Heather (in the Carousel Room).

The Heritage of the Sea room features a model of a sea monster ("as long as the Statue of Liberty is tall") battling a giant squid, while a music machine plays a calliope-sounding version of "Octopus' Garden". The walls are lined with over a hundred ships models, most of which are several feet long.

But it is in Michigan. The closest I've ever come to hating a hole state is Michigan. (Though it has the redemption of being where I first saw fireflies.)

Yes... But one would have to go to Wisconsin.

Actually, it is in Wisconsin. So you can go.

Whoops. Yep.

Good memories of Wisconsin and I will share them all with you here:

1. The nicest freeway rest stop I have ever visited was in Wisconsin.
2. Otherwise all I remember about Wisconsin is that it was dark from midnight to about 4 a.m. while we drove through it.

I really enjoyed visiting the Safe House in Milwaukee. Fun bar/restaurant
