Actually doing anything to ameliorate discomfort would be very unme. But thanks for the recommendation should it become unbearable.

Last night was fun. Went up to LA and watched fireworks from a rooftop with LSPE & EH1812. All was good except for the scary ladder and the old Asian guy who came out to lay the beat down on some hoodlums, a.k.a. US.
He brought a stick out that would put a bat to shame. |
I always knew you three were trouble.

Ouch. I hurt.
Drove to my friends house (at Atlanta and Newland for those familiar with HB) We to Main St. and watched the Parade. Then we walked back to his house and lounged around at the neighborhood bbq and got some color. The morons on the street behind us were shooting fireworks into the sky and almost nailed the HBCopter. Real smart. We walked back to the pier for the fireworks and got rained on by ash and watched as they almost blew up the pier. YAY! Hobbled back to his house with ash in the eye. Boo. My legs are killing me. Neighbors were blowing stuff up. They were fined by the cops too. Best thing ever was the cops patrolling Main St. in a rented minivan. I wish I had my camera. It seems that the *increased enforcement* was cops in rental cars cruising the neighborhood. |
Whew.. glad thats over.
I spent the day part of the 4th cooking and prepping for a friends 4th party. They indulged my child in a water balloon fight, so it wasnt all bad. And I got to play with thier 6 month old.... all good things. But then on my walk to fireworks I tripped and fell, and now it hurts to walk on my foot, and I think I may loose my big toenail from the talk of those at work who have seen my foot. Wheeee!!!!! An injury on a holiday!!! I'm part of the club! |
If they had to rent extra vehicles, why didn't they rent some of those fake police cars they use in movies and TV shows?

BPD uses little white cars so that no one knows they're about to be busted. Unfortunatly they were no where around us last night. I'm not meaning my sister-in-law's, but at home where Boy's friend's tweaker parents were doing some really stupid (and loud) things.
I am just glad that PoohDog is a mellow beast (most of the time). He was in his sleeping area by the backdoor and was sooo happy when we got home. We both gave him some extra attention and love. He was scared, but not to the point of going crazy. Chicken wasn't phased a bit. She was in her "coop" making just enough noise to let me know where she was. |
