Though I do find myself conflicted with design for designs stake, adding nothing practical in the execution and in many ways impacting the functionality of the original design detrimentally. Hmm internal conflict on this one will not be quickly resolved.

Retrofitting in reverse is certainly a form over function enterprise, but as works of techno-art I stand impressed. It will be interesting to see how the movement progresses. Perhaps some of the I.D. issues will be tackled to improve the overall functionality.

I just recently reconnected with a friend from years ago via LJ, and he's involved in local steampunk/victoriana stuff. Yay croquet this spring! Now I just need something to wear...
