The 17-inch model was too big for me. I chose the 15-inch and am quite pleased.

Screw that - get a big ol' screqming top-of-the-line beast. Don't settle. Throw a continuous tantrum until you get what you want need. You're a teenager now - it is your birthright.

If your parents really loved you, they would get you the real expensive one. Otherwise, they are setting you up for failure in school and in life.

Moonie Jr. has the MSI Wind netbook. A surprisingly capable little bundle of computer fun.

As I believe I have said here before, it runs everything he needs for school but sucks at WOW. Perfect.
