Just to be clear - Saddleback is in Lake Forest.

For some of us this would mean our 7th (or 8th or 9th) Bats Day, and all things get old, eventually.

Yeah, to tell the truth, even though the weather's the same ... I'm going to support the long-overdue change to NOVEMBER. And because I have a kick-ass outfit to wear. ;)


Besides, my AP is growing spider webs, and I paid good money for it.

Are we meeting anywhere in particular? Or do I have to try to find you all in the bat's day crowd? Someone call me tomorrow...

It's tradition to meet in the hub around noon ... usually a little before.

There's a huge group photo at noon in front of the Castle, and the Hub is a sort of Fashion Parade, mingle zone for the hour or so before that.

Then we go on a ride or two, have a long lunch, some cocktails, stay out of the heat in our unbearably hot clothes .... wait for twilight, have a costume change, and head over to the Haunted Mansion for the 2nd round of fashion parade ... usually much better because people were more outrageous things once the blazing sun goes down ... alas, it's also dark and hard to see.


Yes, it's old, it's trite, it's routine, it's been done. It's fun!

Sadly, I work a long shift tomorrow, so since I can only be around a very short while, I won't be wearing the outfit I worked on. Probably just toss on last year's little black dress, maybe augmented with my pink fishnets and/or stripey socks, and, as ever, a parasol.
