We are guilty of being those people who clean for the cleaners. Not that we wipe stuff down (well, sometimes, if it's really gross) but we tidy and put everything back in its place. Then all they're really doing is the heavy-duty work we don't have time for.

But I DO organize. I've been trying to tackle the house room by room (this has been a challenge among the renovation that is, alas, STILL happening in our master bath, and about to continue to the two others. Funny how something like that can turn a house upside-down.)

I LOVE organizing. I don't rely on Adrianna to do any of my organizing, or laundry or redecorating. I actually like laundry - I just don't like putting it away.:D

When it comes to organizing "stuff" I'm a binge and purge type. Let it all build up until I run out of room and then go all Stalin on it, purging like mad.

What am I missing here? Is there something stopping you from recycling?

Now mind you, at home I have a 'collection' of cans because of the hours of the recycling place, but they're mostly in one corner of the garage, in bags...

He doesn't like to talk about it, but Kevy has a phobia of the color blue. He can't put anything in a blue bin.

I have a cleaning person that does all the deep cleaning of the bathrooms and kitchen, the range hood and all the baseboards....the stuff that is time consuming and I just don't want to deal with anymore, I figure it's that point in my life that I can spoil myself by handing off those chores I dislike the most to someone I know can use the extra money and who, IF she's out bad mouthing me about what a bunch of slobs we are, it won't matter cuz we don't have any other friends in common...and my house gets nice and clean and I get to spend my time doing something I enjoy rather than dread. If our circumstances change I can go back to doing it myself but for now I'd rather give up some other disposible income activity than give up the cleaning service

Speaking of recycling, does anyone know the name of the place that is behind grocery stores that takes bottles and cans? They are a chain but I don't know their name and I can't find one near me.

I was responding to Alex's post:

Of course, on my way in I bought a new bottle of Coke Zero so it may be that tomorrow I need to repeat this baby step.

His post, as well as mine were (mostly) in jest.

Well, that and my apparent blue phobia

What about purple... you know with printing and all you should have a healthy fear of both right?

Purple has enough red in it to make it manageable.
