It's just you.

So, my car had an oil change and fluid check yesterday. I've been informed that I have a bad oil leak and now need work to the tune of $700+
:(

I'm still trying to figure out if it's a woman or a dude in a wig. If I ever figure it out I'll let you know if it's hot or not.

Something about the manifold, valves and oil pan. The thing is, I can smell it, so I know they're not blowing hot air at me. I left the paperwork in the car as I wanted to avoid looking at it. I've got a call in for a further estimate and may go to the dealership for a 2nd opinion (but I think the mechanic will be cheaper, and they are diamond certified)

Disney has taken over my brain. I'm working on this damn R&T edit and one of the cases starts out "Burgermeister". Which, of course, gets me thinking of Burgermeister Meisterburger. Which leads to Paul Frees, which leads to Disney. With a capital P that rhymes with D that leads to places I'd rather be.

It's a difficult responsibility...

It's hard to believe they would all be leaking simultaneously, the problem with an oil leak is that the oil flows down and can look like it is coming from somewhere else. Normally, I would give the engine a good cleaning and look for the highest leak. Good luck!

$1180 for parts and labor. He says it is a significant amount of leaking. Intake manifold gasket, yada yada yada, oil pan, valves, yada yada yada

I'm biting the bullet and taking it in on Monday. No mad money for me at DL at the end of the month. :(

So, for the past couple of days I've been really annoyed with the people with whom I work (no need to get into a long boring story here, let's just say that they lash out in a passive aggressive manner at our common supervisor by doing a crap job with their record keeping, which directly impacts yours truly). I realized that assuming I quit my job at the end of June at the absolute latest, I have enough vacation and "personal days" accrued that I can take at least one day off per week (and I'm already on a 3-day a week schedule).

I am typing this from home. And getting paid. Life is ... ok.
