Good thing I cut off my Netflix... or I could waste a LOT of time catching up on old Dr. Who episodes! Seriously, BBC America shows a few hours of it a day - and I watch!

Airwolf was one of my Mom's favorite shows. When I got my first cell phone, the theme song was one of the ring tone options and I picked it. It made answering the phone seem very urgent!

I just learned that Alexander Skarsgård (Eric Northman on True Blood) played Meekus, one of Derek Zoolander's roommates in Zoolander (one of the guys who died in the gas station fight while out for orange mocha frappuccinos).

I just learned that I don't know who Alexander Skarsgård is.

Not his sexiest photo.

Alex - True Blood! Sexay vampires that aren't glittery (and some are downright mean!). This show is soooo up your alley.

I don't get Showtime. Though I have read the first eight books or so (despite thinking them pretty awful), but don't plan to read any more.

If it's ever streaming I'll give it a chance, but it is hard for me to picture Anna Paquin as Sookie (though apparently she does fine).

True Blood is on HBO. I never read the books so I didn't have a pre concieved image of what Sookie would look like. I think she does her well, as a tough scrappy opinianated short girl with a slight southern accent. And Alexander Skarsgård is a great Viking Vamp IMHO. There is a large amount of blood, sex (both herterosexual and gay), nudity, gore, and throw in Vampires, warewolves, fairies, shape shifters, and who knows what else will pop up, and you have True Blood!

The series hits the characters pretty well overall, but they have certainly drifted further and further away from the story lines. The first season was somewhat close to the first book, but it drifts further way with each new season.
