Side note - rabbits have pretty poor night vision. Actually, they have pretty poor daylight vision as well. They're crepuscular (mostly active at dawn and twilight) so they don't adjust well to either extreme of light conditions.

Of course, when they do see, they have a nearly 360 degree field of vision save for a small blind spot in front of their nose.

I went out last night, right at 10pm. Missed LOST! and got home too late to watch it. It is taking all my willpower to not read spoilers. And most of my efforts to stay awake. I'm getting to old to be out till 2am on a work night.

Today's late-breaking development - after the worry, the fear, the dismal prognosis, the doctor-led tour of the hospital facilities where they were going to conduct the surgery - the MRI says it's not a tumor. It's a big lump of scar tissue, which is still a problem, but it's not a tumor, not yet anyhow.

I don't know whether to kill the doctors for telling us they were 99% sure it was a recurrence of tumor and that they were doing an MRI to make sure it hadn't spread even further, or kiss them for such wonderful news.

Dogs and cats generally don't have a problem with being in the dark as both have excellent night vision.

Geee, then why does he do that mournful repetitive bark when he's left in the dark?

At least for my dog... it's important. That's why we started doing it.
