Ya know, I was thinking the exact same thing (though he was nowhere near Governatorship when he did Kindergarten Cop).

Good news (somewhat, at least).

Oh scar tissue sucks, and it does limit his range of movement, but it's a damn sight better than having his gluteal muscle group removed on that side.

I went to go give an insulin shot at about 5:50. When I returned at 6:30, Chris had been offered a promotion.

I'm serious.

Well, I'm not going to get into too many details here in a public forum, especially since I haven't accepted yet. But let's say I've had an interesting week.

Monday - Back to work, but at an offsite location where I manage to apply for one job, having come to the conclusion that resources were no longer available for the job I'd been promised and have been waiting for - for months.

Wednesday - Back in my office, where I'm contacted by a recruiter for a "prestigious" job in Newport Beach. I figure heck, I just updated my resume anyway, why not.

Today - Go to work at our Headquarters, sit in a number of meetings, go home and my work phone rings and the job I had given up on is being offered to me - bastards.

Anyway, I will probably take it since it's the job I wanted to do in the first place - but damn it's amazing how fast my company can move when it wants to.

I have been laughing ever since, being able to say to Lisa, "oh, while you were out I was offered a job," was priceless.

Awesome. Given the career ennui you seemed to be drifting toward last month, I'd say timely as well.
