Yeah, that was weird. We only saw one I think, at 4pm (Small World was going off and it was hard to pay attention with the very loud jet up there). I thought someone like you might know why!

Nick and I went to CALM today (California Living Museum). We has a nice stroll through the grounds. The animals I enjoy are all noturnal, so they were all snoozing. I did get to see a Bald Eagle up close, dang that is one big bird!!!

We also got to see a couple of very large hawks (almost as big as the eagle). They seemed to be a nesting couple. I just wish I had thought to get some pics of the birds of prey area.

After we got done we went to my in-laws to color eggs. One of his sister's asked if David would make it to dinner tomorrow. They all got real quiet when I said I hadn't talked to or seen him since Wednesday.

I am so glad to read of all of the things you are doing with your son. It will make this mess his dads' created a little less painful. He has you. :snap:

{{{hugs}}} for you, too.

actually, i never did find out what was up... there were about 6 flyovers throughout the day... and i was even wearing an earpiece... not a peep about them

but, alot of higher than normal "safety" the last few days. well hidden on-stage - out in the open, not so hidden back stage.

but friday was the only day of the flyovers. freaky friday?

the homeland protecting us from the lash invasion?

would geraldo know?

'nuff said, peace OUT:snap:

So every once in a while someone will ask me if I'm absolutely certain I don't want kids and my stock response is "I better be since I can't." But sometimes I do wonder. I've never yet had the urge but I wonder if it will hit me at some point ("better not, since I can't").

So anyway, I'm on the shuttle home from work yesterday and there is this woman with a kid sitting next to me. The kid isn't really misbehaving, just being a bit squirmy and whimpery.

Then I realize I am thinking to myself "you know, now that I think about it, Children of Men doesn't seem so dystopian." In such unsheltered moments we see into our souls and I was reassured.

Alex, if you had asked me 11 years ago if I wanted a kid, I would have said no. I never saw myself being a mom. Heck, I was in denial for the first 3 months of my pregnancy.

Now I can't imagine my life without him. For a long time after he was born I kept getting asked if I wanted more. My standard answer is, "Nope. There are no garuntees that another baby would be as good as he was." I just can't imagine starting over with diapers and the mess of a baby, not to mention the cost.

Besides, kids are good tax write-offs
