As weird as that sounds, as I think about it, it could be pretty good. Bacon is sweet, salty, and fatty. This goes well with chocolate. The smokey flavor is an interesting edition.

Our Nob Hill market sells bacon that looks just like Aussie bacon. In fact, I had some this morning for breakie while watching the ongoing slugfests of the Aussie Open. It's called platter bacon in the US.

I was being all healthy, eating egg whites for breakfast and such... and then I went and added some bacon. But, I was pretty happy with the result. :)

It's all about the portion control of saturated fat and cholesterol. If you toss out the egg yokes, naturally you can have the bacon!
