the one I gave you is pre set to channel 5, as is mine.
turn the switch on top next to the antenna to turn it on. it also controls the volume. it'll beep a couple times. you should see a number 5 showing on the front of the radio, theres a button with a symbol of a lock and the word 'call'. press and relase that to call my radio. after a second or two it will make a sound like an old cell phone, if youre in range, mine will do the same. up in the mountains the range was pretty decent. not sure what the range is yet for this trip to talk, press the button on the side with your thumb and hold it to talk. talk into the front of the radio. release the button when done. |
