Downtown or 2nd St? Was George there? Did he give you a hug?

In February I tried to do a favor for someone in another department at work and it has been haunting me ever since.

A check was deposited to one section (at Paul's request) and then Paul said that due to a re-org it should actually go to another section. Olga didn't know what to do so she called me because I work with her on other accounting issues. I agreed to make the adjustment but because I have trouble with debits and credits (Am I supposed to know that stuff? Actually, yes.) I did the adjustment wrong. I explained the situation to several people I don't know a month ago and each time had to go through the whole story through Olga and back to Paul and when I mentioned Paul they would say, oh okay.

Yesterday I got an e-mail from yet another person I've never heard of requesting that I correct a double posting which was actually my correction and they think it's a double posting because they're only looking at a report for one month. So I shot back an e-mail with a spreadsheet attached showing all the entries and I copied this Paul person and told them, no, I'm not making any changes because it's finally correct.

I got an e-mail back from yet another unknown name saying, basically, okay we get it.

I hope that's the last of it.

Don't mess with the accounting department. We have spreadsheets and we aren't afraid to use them.

... I think I'm too easily amused.

... April 17 is National Cheeseball Day. How will you be celebrating?

I'll be munching on a cheeseball...

Rockstar Energy Drink has a slogan... "Party like a rockstar."

Sadly, when I drink the stuff, all I do is do homework like a rockstar. That is, if rockstars did homework.

I just found out how much pain one can cause oneself with a 3500 rpm 8 bladed fan...

(no blood loss, but one hell of a scream)

Is homework like a rockstar a good thing? I would be dubious of the quality of a 5 page essay cranked out by Robert Plant the night before it was due, especially if it was a concert night.

Maybe he'd be writing about rock n' roll?
