I wish I could take off from work... I could probably see it from my house.

The last space shuttle I saw in the air in person blew up later so I'll play it safe and stay indoors.

Heads up, all you peeps who hope to turn your heads up tomorrow. Fog in San Francisco has delayed the planned flight over every single known California landmark. At least by an hour, but who knows?

Hey Moonie, they just interviewed someone who is giving you a run for your money: he flew in from England just to see the Endeavor today and tomorrow.

There are others like me? Perhaps I should write a book: The Two Day (or less) Tourist.

If I could stay home I could walk about 2 minutes to the sand and see it from my house. But since I have to go to work my plan is to take an extended lunch, head over to DL, park in DTD parking, run to the park, watch, stroll back to the car and go back to work.

Finally found the camera charger. That was an ordeal. Plan is to take Maddie to school at 7 then head up. She's pretty peeved she can't go. She'll live.

Two web sites for tracking the Endeavor

So Cal Science Center

NASA

Also, from the NASA site about the delay:

Bah - I have an 11:30 meeting. I'm just going to have to drive out to LAX after the fact

Ghoulish Delight 09-20-2012 09:02 PM

I'm going to try to head in the direction of DL around 10:30.
