I just dig this song. Some of the early soul/rock and roll stuff is the coolest.

I've heard that version as well. It's wonderful.

I also heard a version from my friend Julie where the singer sounds like she's underwater. Not that she sounds like she's gargling or anything, but that it sounds like water and bubbles around her as she sings. Really trippy.
