Yes, but these are crenellations in a world that has OSHA. And we all know that anywhere elevated that a person may walk requires guardrails.

When I first saw this, I thought I read "a fighting platform and a defense against the espanade."

DL's castle needs crenellations--how else will they be able to defend against the invading armies of DCA?
