So iSm, did you and your *bride* run off to Vegas last night?

Kevy Baby 10-22-2006 09:51 PM

OMG... the (8 y.o.) girl who caught the bouquet was freakin' when she found that catching the bouquet meant she ws the next to get married. Too funny.

And sorry to all: I guess I did spend a little too much time in the eighties (musically speaking). Gotta discover that pesky 21st Century.

Damn... It sounds like I truly missed the event of the ages...
 to a wonderful couple

BarTopDancer 10-22-2006 09:58 PM

I ran into her a bit later and tried to convince her to come back to the table with me so she could get married. She ran away into the bar screaming... too bad for her I was going in there for some water. She ran out the door and right into her parents. Poor kid is going to be in therapy for that.

And KB - the 80s music was awesome! Boingo < Hollaback Girl any time.

Check with DF: I know her father went around to all the tables and picked up the strays at the end of the night. That is where we found ours.

Sorry?? Did you not see the madness you induced on the dancefloor? Everyone loved the music, it was perfect! I kept thinking I would have to rest after this song, but then the next would start up and down goes the drink and off I go to dance some more. You gave iSm an epileptic attack. Even when you played Hollarback Girl there were people dancing (though not any swankers  ;) )

Yeah, hahaha, I thought I'd be dating myself pretty badly when I goaded BlueErica into requesting More Eighties. But, um, it was a big hit with the younger crowd as well. Best Recent Decade of Music, and it can't be helped.

Oh, but thanks for reaching into the Sixties for "I'm a Believer" ... my favorite wedding party song ever.

it was hilarious to watch the pre-teens faces when Time Warp fired up. mass of LoT'ers and kin all sync'ed up and singing word for word, dancing step for step. the kids were all standing in the doorway of the serving area looking like they'd just walked through a time warp themselves.

 kids....
