i just bought "pocket symphony" the latest album.. its pretty good.. i have always love that band.. quite swanky ....

Indeed - disappointing show at Coachella this year, equipment problems and poor set-up delayed their set and was ultimately cut short. Their last show though - divine. Rumour has it they may make it back to LA later in the year.

it could have been worse, right? I mean they could have had Scarlett Johannsen singing for them ?

I like them in films. I think they often provide the perfect soundtrack, in The Virgin Suicides for instance.

I don't care too much for their standalone music. I find myself missing the accompanying visuals and feeling more than a bit sleepy.

Hmmm - as much as I might lust after Scarlett, I think I'd rather have Charlotte Gainsbourg in that role

If you like Air, you should check out Mellow. They entered my world through a Coppola soundtrack as well - Roman's CQ (when will he direct another movie?).
