What she said. I came out less critical of the show-scene technology than she, I thought it was pretty well done, but it just wasn't used to particularly good effect. Too much watching, not enough experiencing.
My ass and shoulders were a lot less wide 10 years ago. |

But yes, its true. Except for standing top side and saying oh look there's Darla! Or... hmm... there's the lights! There wasnt much to discuss. ** I wonder how my pics came out** |

The pics on Yesterdayland have the sub numbers starting with 3 Nautilus is 301 in yellow, and an old pic of the grey seawolf says D-302. I'm curious about the numbers now..... (it's all your fault) |

Regardless of my indifference to the actual ride, I am very glad that if the lagoon is going to continue existing that something is actually happening in it.
Though it would have been a lot cheaper to just put submarine tops on tracks and rotate them through the lagoon without anything in them. I'm also somewhat tickled to think (based on how often I still had people emailing me to ask if I knew the subs were gone) that in a year when the "reopening" hubbub dies down how many "twice-in-a-lifetime" park visitors will ride the subs never even realizing that they were gone. |
So, I hate the blue highlights on the subs. Something about the shade and the design just doesn't sit right with me. When they first made their appearance with the new paint jobs, it took me several times seeing them to realize that we were seeing the finished project. I literally thought what I was seeing was painter's tape at the water line and tarps over the hatches. Even now knowing that it's the paint job, that's the first thing I see when I look at the subs.

Does anyone know if they're letting APers w/o appointments on today/tonight?
