I miss my dad. It was his favorite holiday of the year. Naturally he was a pyro.

Katiesue, I'm with you. My dad died in 1995, but I miss him. I have fond memories of blowing chit up. Even when things didn't work. :) It was fun. We never went to the "official" fireworks display.

The 4th of July was my dad's birthday. He would have been 50 this year.

My dad died shortly after turning 50. I'm not sure to be happy to avoid seeing him decline, or to be sad because I miss him. He came to me in a dream and seemed to say that everything was all right but he's still my daddy and my inner child throws tantrums occasionally because she misses him.

Fireworks were banned one year so my dad lit road flares. Not the same but fire was involved.

I don't know exactly what crazy device my dad set off one year, but it burned a hole in the street and set off a LOT of car alarms.

We used to blow up watermelons with M80's. I miss those days.
