With all the A & W talk the boy and I got in the car and headed to Sweet Home. I decided on good old chilli cheese fries instead of the burger or coney dog but boy was the frosty mug delicious! Zach didn't want to go in and order by phone from the table, I love that, so we stayed in the car. He thinks it's great that the tray goes on the window and they come pick it up when you're done.
After that we went to the local thrift store and he bought 19 books, I got 2 cookbooks, all for the low, low price of $5.40. I think we need to stop there more often for that price. Especially with Zachs voracious appetite for books.

I loved the real A&W with the frosty mugs. The one in Brea used to make the best burgers! Susan and I ate there frequently whilst dating as it was within walking distance of my Dad's place (where I was living at the time).

I haven't had one in a long time, but they were oh so good in an oh so bad way!

I have actual A&W glass mugs (well Mom does but since they've been in the same cupboard in the basement for the last 45ish years I'm calling dibs). My grandmother bought a whole set at some point from the actual location.
