Something I've found is fun to put in a gift basket, is a picture frame, so that the recipient can put a pic from the visit in afterwards.

California themed coloring books and crayons for the little ones (for the "boring" car drives).
A few "celeb" magazines for the teens for the car drives or hotel room. (ya, they can get those at home but it can be a special treat)
A big floppy hat for the mom and maybe a baseball style hat for the dad (please, NO KINGS stuff! ;) )

Something from In n Out (or directions to one, if they eat meat)

The real as in only "LA" team. Let's see. Your Kings are last place in the NHL. They've been "rebuilding" for at least the last 3 seasons. Have won one division title in franchise history. And have been around for 26 years longer than the team that has earned 1 conference title, 2 division titles and won the first Stanley Cup in CA (all done in 14 years).

I bet their super good at golf though! :)

DUCKS BEAT THE KINGS last night!Our back-up goalie is a SHOOTOUT GOD! It sounded like playoff hockey. It was amazing!
