Buy the boots! Sienna looks darling in them (much cuter than Paris and Jessica). And you're just going into winter, right?

I was attacked by the Gap this weekend.

2 wrap around sweaters (one black regular length, one pink, shrunken)
1 pair of slacks that have to go back (totally cute, way to big)
1 cami
1 layering tee
1 scarf cami

Target attacked me too but I escaped with only a crinkled lacey cami.

Two? That doesn't sound very obsessed to me (unless they are both the same cut and color). A blazer can change a "casual Friday" outfit into an "any day of the week" outfit. And they're great in the Air Conditioning in the summer.

Currently I'm "between sizes" on almost all my blazers and it's driving me crazy (but at least I'm going the right direction!)

I really need to find a good blazer. Actually, two would be nice. I know that I'm probably not going to be in serious need for another year, as I'll be going to school full-time for probably another 2 years, but I think picking up one right now for that casual, but dressy look for random occasions would be a good thing.

I'd like to find one that would look as good with a blouse underneath, as it would with a band tee. It would be worth lots of money to find one that could go with anything...

What size are you in BR stuff? I've got a trunk full of classic blazers and suits that are too small for me.

Well, I just purchased two pairs of (boring) khaki pants today.

There is one designer of pants that I've found fits me virtually all of the time, and it's a blue moon when a different designer does, so unless I'm ultra desperate, I only try on Claiborne-family pants. So I go to Macy's (the only chain in this part of the world that carries them, I think) and they have like 5 khaki Elisabeth pants in the Women's section, and 3 of them have that dreaded P at the end of them. Of course, the other two weren't my size. So they look up to see if they can find them at any of the other local stores. NO. NO KAHKI PANTS IN MY SIZE IN ANY MACY'S IN THE STATE OF LOUISIANA! It's blasted hot May (almost June) and my old khaki’s are too big (which is a good thing, but...).

So as I'm fuming off, I remember I wanted to look at the "good" earrings (which were on sale 50%) and then I remembered I was now wearing the "crossover" size between departments, so I went to the Misses section and they HAD ones that should fit, and they did! So I also got a different style pair off the clearance rack! The only down side is the cotton twill ones are triple pleated, and I really wanted flat-front. Hey, they fit and are the size I want, I can't actually expect to find the STYLE I want too, can I?

(Oh, and I got some nice "knot" earrings to wear every day for what'll end up being 2/3 off - dang, remind me not to look at jewelry in the department stores unless it's on super-duper sale, they've got to have some huge markups on regular price!)

The Commodore was observed modeling his new "Commodore Mickey " ensemble on the high seas. I'm sure photos are available.
