Some people use it for marketing reasons. You can block stalkers if you want, or make your posts friends-only. It seems that most of the people I might be interested in twittering with are posting when I'm asleep, so I miss most of the action.

Well, since I just got a myspace page up a few weeks ago, I calculate that I'll likely be using Twitter no sooner than 2010. That's how "cutting edge" my lifestyle apparently is.

Here is my two cents on the twitter matter:

My better half uses it to keep up with his contact at SND (society of newspaper design). He also used it to update these contacts (friends) during the WB repo cruise. You can do a private post to only your fiends. Its like a public blob, but you can make it private.

I'm just getting into posting and LoT is my first and will stay my first and only.

I scummed to peer pressure. DucksChickie. No idea if I'll update it on a regular basis. I suppose it wouldn't be much harder to update them MySpace and Facebook. Since I think Twitter would update Facebook. I should look into that.

I already find it annoying to get updated on my phone through SMS.

Will stick to checking the site via mobile web.
