Prudence is now authorized by me to go spend a wad of cash on something fun. No, not my cash... ;)

Congrats! :snap:

"But honey, CP said I could!"

Thanks, guys/gals. I'm celebrating by skipping the "study skills" workshop scheduled during our second class tonight. I've decided my time would be better spent eating frosting from a can while watching Survivor. (The irony is that I'm surfing LoT during civpro.)

My winter carb cravings have finally hit me hard this week, damn it! And I was doing so well. I've been baking cookies, muffins, bread and apple crisp to satisfy the cravings. Also eating pizza and pasta!

Now I'm craving frosting out from a can...gee, I wonder why????? ;) Things are going from bad to worse.

Congratulations!!!

I sold tickets to a "Clark Griswold" on Tuesday - he was 13 when the first Vacation movie came out, and it changed his life.

Now, I'm cleaning up after an overclocking experiment went terribly wrong...

Sipping burbon - the coffee long gone, feeling giddy and fatalistic at the same time. All is quiet, but unnaturally so. There is grieving, and sickness, and simple exhaustion. My todo list still shakes its fist at me, and I raise my glass in its direction. The weekend will be here soon enough and the rains have let up, if only for a little while. Maybe then things will be back in my grasp...

Hmmm, but the niece is leaving the mountains to head east for Illinois- Chicagoland perhaps? Oh how I hope that would be true. Alas, I think she's headed for the cornfields just outside of town. The regrets and mourning that will come.

So I pour a little more burbon and feel a little less, numb, giddy, and impervious to the sadness around me. At rare times I can be an asshole, but I don't regret it. At least not now while I've burbon to sip.

Cheers to you, TennesseeWilliams
