I don't think it looks like infinity, but the g is difficult to see through the parade of colors.

Definitely not an award winner of a favicon.

Ghoulish Delight 01-13-2009 11:31 AM

Yeah, it's about the garish colors. Bleh. It's reminding me of some other logo, but I can't put my finger on it.

And thank you for saying favicon, I couldn't remember that word.

In case I wasn't clear, I do think lederhosen should be a joke (as well as NBA shorts of pretty much any era since they went from amusingly small to amusingly large). I just think kilts should be too.

Especially utilikilts.

Especially a utilikilt worn while attending a con.

Especially a utilikilt worn while attending a con and paired with a ratty t-shirt you bought from a "humor" site.

Especially a utilikilt worn while attending a con and paired with a ratty t-shirt you bought from a "humor" site and you're so proud of achieving that minimal level of masculinity needed to grow facial hair (a level that my great grandmother achieved, I'll remind you) that you are allowing all 76 hairs to grow without restraint or any attempt at organization.

In other words, especially if you are any of the people I hung out with in high school. (Note: Being a joke is not reason to avoid doing or wearing some if that is what you want to do.)

So how do you feel about utilikilts Alex?

Alex 01-13-2009 11:52 AM

I'm ok with them.

Ghoulish Delight 01-13-2009 12:07 PM

And it's just now occurred to me that the ugly Google favicon is tied in with the ugly Chrome logo (which isn't the unknown logo that it's reminding me of).

Ok, so now I have to ask, what is a utilikilt? Do you mean just a generic one that wasn't actually your family crest(cloth or whatever) or do you mean all kilts?

Just curious

Kevy Baby 01-13-2009 02:10 PM

There are several factors that affect utilikilt vs kilt, but the key differences (that I am aware of) include:
  1. Traditional kilts are a wrap of a length of cloth whereas utilikits are usually like a skirt
  2. Utilikilts usually don't have the requisite pleats in the back
  3. Utilikilts are often in plain, solid colors whereas a kilt is made of tartan
There are more, but those are the three key ones that I am aware of

In the 70's I had a pair of Mork suspenders. Yikes.
