He knows I work here. We don't know each other as in we haven't had a conversation, but we work on the same side of the building and pass each other on a daily basis. We even used to be on the same gym-use schedule.

Then there's no excuse, that was just plain rude. :(

It runs like a dream. He did the 60 mile service and changed the rear brakes for me. He also said the car was solid as a rock. Nice thing to hear from your mechanic!
