Chicken breasts in bbq sauce, chicken noodles and a basic salad.

I also have apple and gouda sausages to cook later in the week. I'm not quite sure what to do with them but they looked good and they were on sale!

Hubby & Wolfette are having Burgers & Fries....I'm having a Mixed Salad with Cottage Cheese

Macaroni & Cheese & Bacon

Specifically, the whole grain Kraft stuff (interestingly, has a better flavor than the regular), and thick center-cut maple bacon which was done under the broiler.

I spoil him...

7-cheese tortellini in a homemade bacon garlic cream sauce.

Fried 3 slices of bacon, then used the bacon grease as the base for my roux - first sauteeing a bit of onion & garlic in the grease, then added nutmeg, flour, seasoned salt, a bit of thyme and some parsley. Oh, and a dash of white pepper. O. M. G.

Mmm...sounds yummy!!

Okay, so I had planned on making Zatarain's' Dirty Rice {at least that's what I think as I never quite got to it...} with grilled shrimp in butter and garlic sauce. I was even going to make a salad.

Then I read that you should not defrost shrimp in hot water or the microwave or it makes it tough. Okay, 'nuff said'.

Lolita's it was. Hubster and I shared both a carne asada fry and carnitas plate.

And I had spoken so highly of the importance of eating at home to my son as we drove home from school. *sigh*

Shrimp is now defrosting until tomorrow night. Any tips on how to prepare it?
I THINK I will put butter in a pan, stick the shrimp in it, and cook it up. Am I supposed to cover/steam it? Will I kill my family if the shrimp isn't fully cooked? I have those fears.....

I hate to cook burgers. Does anyone here use those temperature gauges when they cook them?

Beef Noodle Bake.....a Wolfpack favorite!

2 weeks ago, a new restaurant called Forage opened up a couple of blocks from our house. So far, we've eaten there three times. Tonight, I'm having the flank steak with chimichurri sauce, scalloped potatoes, and beets with fresh citrus. And some toffee pudding for dessert. Yum.
