Aren't you all just dying to know what's up with my mail? Here's the excitement:

The post office broke their key to our mail unit, so from now on we have to go pick up our mail at the post office during regular business hours.

Which means we can pick up our mail once a week, on Saturday.

OR, we can rent, from the post office, a PO Box accessible 24-7.

Because they don't feel like replacing the key, as it would be a bother, and not replacing it means they can charge us PO Box fees, so that sounds way better to them.

Or, we can try to talk the HOA into replacing the whole mailbox unit.

And could they leave a note to this effect? Nope. Could they tell us this over the phone? Nope. Had to go in person to find out that we no longer get home delivery.
