Soooooo, I've had a stressful day. Morning phone from Chris telling me Charles needed to go to the vet because he's got a cold and wasn't doing to good. THEN, I came home (to my loft home where I'm pet sitting) to find Gus, my absolute favorite dog, shaking/shivering because he ate chocolate and it was causing toxic shock.

Charles is doing well, but it on antibiotics. Gus had to get IV fluids, activated charcoal and muscle relaxers but is home now and doing better. The vet is going to be invited over for Christmas Dinner at this point.

However, the fantastic news of the day......Gus' mommies called me tonight to say that they got engaged! I'm so excited and happy for them and I'm glad they didn't come home when I called them about Gus. They know I love him oodles and would do anything for him, but we almost ruined the engagement surprise.

Dang, NA! Poor Gus Gus! I hope Chuck and Gus are doing better tomorrow. And you as well! Take care!!

Things went very smoothly. I'm going to get to leave a few hours earlier than expect.

Nothing like watching the sun set while at work on a Saturday only to then watch it rise while still at work on Sunday.

A pretty good rainstorm did blow through in the middle of the night, though.

I'm glad to hear it went well, Alex. Though I'm sure you won't get this until some time tomorrow as you will be sleeping, I'm sure. Get plenty of rest!!

It looks like we got some decent rain here during the night. Now I get to get dressed and drive up to Tehachapi to get the 2 Pokemon DS games that came out today. *sigh*

No, no sleeping until tonight. If I were to sleep now I'd be screwed up all week. I semi-regularly stay up 36 hours so it isn't that big of a deal. Just a long boring night.

We picked up those this morning, also. But, they didn't have to drive so far. And, from what I understand, not crowded at all.

Did you get the stylus'?

Alex, you do this regularly????

Alex 04-22-2007 03:28 PM

The new job will require it at least one day a quarter (our quarterly major production releases begin at 11:30 p.m. on a Saturday night). But this is the first time I've done it for the job. I just, with some regularity have a night every once in a while where I don't go to sleep. Not really insomnia, just never get tired and then I'm back to a normal sleep schedule the next night.

... I just found out that my favorite bar just added Entourage viewing to their Sinatra Sunday. Sinatra Sundays are awesome enough, but putting that show on there is enough to make me drop my homework at 7:30 to watch some cute boys.

RAWR.
