Poor Barnum was pissed at me last night... dragged him into the bathroom and gave him a good scrubbing. Now he smells like Pantene :) He's having a good week because "his daddy" has been home sick - mind you, do you think my dog makes the most of it? Nah, he slept ALL DAY yesterday, only waking when his momma came home :D

Yay! My new business cards arrived!

I've spent the last two afternoons cleaning my bedroom which means moving stuff so I can clean and then moving it to a new spot (because I'm trying to improve things) and now every muscle aches. My goal is less clutter but I have too much stuff. I have some stuff to take down to the trash or out to my car for the recycling center tomorrow but there are big "wet paint" signs on all the gates. I guess that means I should take a nap.

I can't talk myself into getting rid of the bicycle even though I haven't been on it in many years. And I moved the keyboard to the closet even though I should just give it away. I don't even know what I did with the power cord. But I like thinking that I might start bike riding or pull out a music book again.

The worst thing though is my books. I love books. I have too many books. Books are heavy and they take up so much space and bookshelves are hard to keep clean. But I love my books.

Keep your books and make friends with clear storage containers. You can box them (and other items) up and still be able to find them easily.

I also love the Space bags (the ones you vacuum the air out of) for blankets, bedding and pillows.

Break your habit on the books. Best thing I ever did (there was a time when it felt like I could compete with a small community library).

Of course, I don't know for sure what you mean by "too many books." When circumstances dictated that I liquidate my personal library I was approaching 15,000.

No such thing as too many books.

So... I should keep my collection of trashy romances?

Sure. If you enjoy them.

I have a habit of not keeping old paperbacks. Mostly because they don't hold up well.

I had a bunch at one time. At my kids' elementary school there was a bookrack in the teachers lounge. I asked if they would like some paper backs to add to their offerings.

The kindergarten teacher said they weren't quite proper but to just turn them around.....
