Being sick when I have to grade and when it's almost a friend's birthday sucks, too.

Oh, I'm sorry! I make a mean chicken soup, but this does not help you. Virtual chicken soup is not good.

Feel better soon! :coffee:

Chicken soup is not good for me--I'm vegetarian. (So, unless I want to add an upset stomach to the mix...). ;)

Announcement?

Well, I finished my last law review obligation, but I sense that wasn't the announcement you were looking for.

In other news: last night my trademark professor hosted a small social gathering after our last class. One of my classmates from the arts clinic introduced me to another friend of hers - who apparently already knew of me, and just didn't know who I was. Apparently, she stalks the CALI award website (professors can give awards for the top student in each class) and has secretly been idolizing me as "the one with all the CALI awards." Not that I have so many (although I do have four), but apparently my name caught her eye because I got them in subjects she likes. And she wants to do the same moot court competitions I did. (she's a year behind me in the program.)

Typed out like that it looks all sort of stalkerish, but it wasn't like that. It was definitely weird, though. I'm not accustomed to being the object of hero worship. It was the first time I can recall that someone not related to me was "following my career".

blueerica 04-26-2007 04:06 PM

I don't think of it so much as stalkerish, so much as it is idolization.

I think it's awesome! Show the new kids how ta do it!

blueerica 04-26-2007 04:07 PM

I get my hair cut in a week! WOO!!

(nothing drastic, though... and for once, I'm glad)

Was stuck in traffic on the 710.
Stopped at red head's house for a visit.
Saw cats and a big faux bear.
Film at 11.

:D

You do know you can change the number of posts per page don't you? At 50 ppp, I am only on page 167 (at least I think that is where this is at).

We're alive. I have been avoiding the LoT knowing that there was going to be a LOT of posts to read.

GD (and others) is right - Haas is the way to go.

Yes, Vista is terrific.

I am not familiar with Vista Print, but (and I am sorry for posting a pseudo-advertisement) the print pricing for the company I work for offers some great pricing on printing and the quality is top-notch (everything is litho printed). http://www.dpcprint.com

Today I had to thin my carrot sprouts. I felt like some fascist dictator exterminating those specimens not fit to procreate as I created my master carrot race. Those poor sprouts! They could have been great carrots! And like a heartless tyrant I snuffed out their veggie lives.
