Besides there haven't been very many cool Happy Meal toys since the first Toy Story movie came out anyway.

How about turning off the TV?

The Inspector Gadget ones where my favorites. I had to bully my kids into going to McDonald's to get all the pieces. Perhaps I should sue my own kids for not wanting to get a happy meal.

Now you're just advocating cruelty.

How I love thee.

And if that doesn't work, just smack 'em upside the head.

If THAT doesn't work, you aren't hitting them hard enough.

I suggest the film "Dungeonmaster" starring Richard Moll. It's total MST3K fodder. ;)

Ironically I'm much more equipped, from a programming knowledge standpoint, now than I was back then, but the desire and time to work on it have vanished.

In the meantime, I can usually find the original post with a search. Just do an advanced search, put the user's name in, a word or 2 from the quote, and have it show posts.

Your wish is granted!

I actually had a spare moment to look into this today. I got far enough into the code to find the place where I would add the code to do this...only to discover the code is sitting right there and all I had to do was turn an option on!

In my defense, the option is not very well described in the control panel.

But the upshot is, from now on newly submitted quotes will have links back to the original posts.
