Because you don't read threads started by Coaster Matt?

So, I'm blogging. I can safely say that I never really expected to ever find myself blogging. But now that I am, I'm rather enjoying it. I don't even really give a sh*t whether anybody's reading it (and I'm sure no one is), which I think is why I've been able so far to keep it going. I mean, it's been a way to push me to catalog and document for myself some stuff that I've been meaning to do for years, the blog has just given me a focused format that's helping me organize it and been a catalyst to start it. Whee.

Do you mean more like online journaling or informational blogging? I've never considered the average LiveJournal (for example) a blog but a lot of people think of it that way.

So it's 10:35 and I'm sitting in my livingroom, in my bath robe, still sipping my first cup of coffee - Coachella was fun, but damn - I feel destroyed

Thank you guys so very much for responding to my post! Thank you, too, for posting the link to the stripper pole! I had just read an article this weekend about the stripper pole for little girls in the newest issue of Glamour magazine (by the way, you can always tell when I've read an issue of Glamour. I go all "I am woman hear me roar" for about 3 days straight!) However, my feelings on this subject have always been the same. Why rush into the world of adulthood? Enjoy being a child!

A few years ago, my stepmom, my brother & myself took my baby brother to see Britney Spears in concert (my baby brother loved her music, my older brother went for the eye candy :D ). While it was a fun & glittery show, the biggest spectacle of all were the little girls in full hoochie regalia. My brother & I nearly passed out when we witnessed an adorable little girl, about 5 yrs. old, wearing a hot pink triangle bikini top, teensy mini skirt & boots. Of course, dear old Moms was wearin' the same matching ensemble. Oh, and endless, sarcastic props to the older women dressed in Britney's Hit-Me-Baby-One-More-Time schoolgirl outfit. C'mon now! If the look you were trying to achieve is underage innocent schoolgirl, you missed the mark. If ancient desperate hosehound in pigtails once rejected by Barely Legal magazine was your goal, then score one for you.

Okay, now I feel guilty! :( I didn't mean to be mean, but really! Is it such a difficult task to exude a little class & self-respect? Is dignity out of style this season? Because in my eyes, it never goes out of style. :)

No, not the LJ variety. I've been doing that on and off for a while, and I agree it's not really "blogging." I guess what I've started is a little in between in that it's still kinda introspective, but it's focused on a theme and I'm presenting something specific with each post rather than just journaling stuff as it comes to mind like I do on LJ.

Seriously. It's all about the gravitas.

I don't know how dignified I am but I do know I'm damn happy to rest on the oars and just gliiiiide.

I don't know why, but this image really makes me think of all those cheesy spy movies from the 70's. Probably those crazy egghead helmets in the background:
