Mustard no mayo

lashbear 08-19-2011 04:11 AM

That sounded Japanese. :D

I don't want a pod coffee maker for the house, but I'm starting to require that all houses I do overnights have one.

Blackberry pie?! I want some!

I painted the kitchen tonight... well, part of it. Next phase is coming soon.

Nope.

But this model was worth the ~$75 or so we plunked down sometime between Christmas and Thanksgiving. (If I recall correctly, the stars aligned and we it was priced at around $90 and we had a 20% off Bed Bath and Beyond coupon).

Better? No. Faster and convenienter enough? Possibly. Not high on my list of frivolous niceties to spend $ on, but definitely on the list somewhere.

Jason can't do coffee (he likes it, but his stomach doesn't), and at the time I was tired of doing tiny presses in my press pot, considering that on the weekends I like about one cup of coffee. He does enjoy some of the other pods they offer, such as the apple cider and hot teas.

That said, I'm not sure I would have paid a cent more than what I did, and there are times (yesterday was a perfect example) where I realize that I should have just gotten a bigger press pot and an instant hot water pot thingie (I don't like to wait for my hot water). In the meanwhile, it's a nicety that gets used often enough.

I'm confused? You're all actually talking about coffee? This isn't a euphemism for sex or watching cute kitten videos on YouTube or something?

Because if coffee is the real subject then no, it's never worth it. Because it's coffee and that ****'s vile.

It turned out wonderful and I used the convection part of my oven for the first time.

If you were closer I would invite you over for a slice.
