Limited sympathy. Nothing makes my heart sink more than to watch the Starbuck's employee unbuckle from the latté machine, turn their back on me and then spend what seems like five minutes fussing with blenders, ice, syrups and whatnot to make someone's Frappuccino.

Okay, so I specifically look up my nearby CompUSA's phone number on yahoo business, because they've already removed the location from the company website. I call the number, hit the option for "price and availability", assuming, somewhat foolishly, that having dialed that location means I will get to speak with someone AT that location who can tell me if an item is still availible AT THAT location. Instead I get some girl at some general CompUSA office building who can't tell me if that location still has the item. Now THAT'S service, folks!

(No wonder they're shutting down locations!)

Hey, if it had only been to pour out all the cups he had in line when it was my drink's turn, it'd be one thing, but to set my cup on the back counter and proceed to pour all the drinks (lattes and all, not just drip) that were there, PLUS all the ones that came up WHILE he was pouring those... that's just rude.

At this point, they've most likely handed operations of the locations that are closing over to liquidation houses, so they no longer have control over or information about those locations.

The tea has helped some, but it's still there. Advil is usually my cure all, Aspirin doesn't do it for me. I was surprised when that didn't work. I was down to my last one, so I can't even up the dosage.

GD, think it could be a sinus headache? When I get those, the only thing that works is something like Tylenol Sinus/Allergy. Good stuff- I even turned my doc onto it, and the next time I saw her she said she'd tried it and was amazed how well it worked.

Ghoulish Delight 05-02-2007 01:50 PM

No, definitely not a sinus headache. It's pretty much gone now. God I hope it wasn't a caffeine withdrawal headache. I've been relying a bit too much on the stuff lately.

NA, be sure to give the Dexter a big hug from me. He's too cute to be hurting.:(

I'm not sure if it will help prevent dental problems, but Samwise loves to floss. Jumps up on the counter and pesters me until I run some through his teeth. I suspect it's the mint- then again, there's the string thing as well. He doesn't try to bat at it, though- he likes me to actually floss his teeth. Weirdo.

That deserves a pic Wendy :)

I have had a WONDERFUL day!!!

Everything I needed to do has been done. All that is left is meeting our new day care person, face to face. If she is anything in person like she is on the phone I will be beyond thrilled! I even got to stop at my favorite watering hole for some serious ego-stroking by a few great friends.

I must say, I have the bestest friends, both online and off!!!

I really wish I had an extra $2000 sitting around right now... because CompUSA has a 70" TV for just that amount!

And the TV we want is around $1000 (looking for around a 55" DLP, but there were plasmas at that price too)

...But I don't have that either.

What I do have is a nice legal copy of Adobe Premiere Elements for $40 and a 1gb thumb drive for $35. :D
