Mine's never beeped except for when I pushed the test button on the front.

might suggest adding one (or two) of your own. I'd hate to find out later that all they did was kill it to make it stop beeping

ya know?

Matterhorn Fan 05-09-2007 11:18 AM

That's the new plan. Next week I'll go get a battery one.

Oh. Me, too. Drives the kid crazy because they can 'retain' the directions....

Is Paris Hilton really that full of herself?

The entreaty - which garnered just over 4,000 signatures by yesterday evening - urges Aaaaaahnold to pardon Hilton because she provides “beauty and excitement to (most of) our otherwise mundane lives.”

I normally don't care about what goes on in the lives of the party crowd but I hope she goes to jail. Regular jail. For the full 45 days. Like she was sentenced to.

mousepod 05-09-2007 12:19 PM

Somehow, I doubt she'll go to "regular jail". Since I work in one, I promise you that I've never seen someone from that financial background actually serving time for anything like that. There are plenty of people who serve their sentence cleaning the streets, but most everyone who stays in the jail are people who are either serving sentences for violent crimes, drugs, prostitution or robbery, or people waiting for court/sentencing who can't afford bail.

Ghoulish Delight 05-09-2007 12:22 PM

It'll be interesting to see what happens. As I heard it, the judge that gave the sentence put some pretty heavy restrictions, specifically saying it can't replaced with community service, house arrest, or any sort of alternative jail. I wasn't clear if that precluded any sort of minimum security "jail", but he definitely seemed to be making an effort to close off at least a good chunk of the options usually open to the wealthy.
