I'm just glad she's out there, because frankly, ladies, we're gems. Gems!

Take care at Curves my dear, don't overdo. Everyone I know (including me) who worked out at Curves ended up having an injury. Mine took me almost 6 months to recover from. So now I'm using the free gym on level 1 of our building.

Sorry you are crappily busy at work.

See, you should have had the donburi I had! It was very yummy freshwater eel. I need to go back there for dinner, soon.

Susan has been going to Curves for over a year and not one injury.

I am just making sure that I listen to my body. Last night I felt when I was trying to move more than I should. I thought I would be sore today, but nothing of any significance.

On the subject of work, we have been open for less than 30 mins and it is already one of "those" days. I have been yelled at, and cussed at because someone didn't include chairs on their order. That someone is on vacation until next week. I took care of it. Then I just found out that our owner's wife (the GMs mother and our payroll person) had a massive stroke last night. We are waiting to hear how she is doing. this is not going to be a good day.

In each instance, these men are acting as private citizens who choose to bestow parts of their fortunes on the causes they believe in, not as officers of their corporations. The money is theirs to do with as they please, just as anyone's paycheck belongs to the person who earns it and stops being the employer's money at the moment it is paid out. That a spendthrift employee might choose to gamble away his earnings doesn't mean the company he works for supports gambling; likewise, that a wealthy man financially supports particular causes doesn't mean the corporation that paid him the money favors those movements.

All this is by way of saying that while it's correct to identify Gary Heavin as a patron of pro-life endeavors, it would not be right to point to Curves as a supporter of these same causes

MY sentiments follow the final sentence of that Snopes entry. If I were to avoid spending money anywhere that might lead to "my money" going towards a cause I disagree with, there'd be nowhere left to spend my money.

So, I just got a raise. Not huge, but since I was expecting zero compensation, this is a good day! :)
